Job Description:

Webjam is looking for a User Experience Designer. The position is critical to ensure an engaging online experience to users, and will be key to ensure the highest level of quality and simplicity for a rapidly growing online service. We are looking for a very organised, creative, proactive and detail-oriented candidate, experienced with flexible online platforms and familiar with User Centric Design principles, who is looking for a hands-on experience in a web2.0 startup. A good sense of humour and a positive can-do attitude are must-have assets to grow with the company.

This role is ideally suited to someone who is passionate about designing for the latest online social publishing and collaboration environments. Ideally, you will have a strong understanding of Social Networks, Blogging platforms and online product design.

The role will report to the Creative Director and is based in Central London.
This is a full time position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Produce Design Materials for a variety of projects:
    • Supporting the product specs documentation.
    • Producing User Flows, Site Maps and Wireframes.
    • Producing the necessary visual mock-ups.
    • Creating graphic interface elements.
    • Creating and developing visual styles.
    • Creating and developing user driven templates.
    • Supporting the production of Marketing creative materials.
    • Supporting the creation of design guidelines to optimise the product consistency and the development processes.
    • Working closely with the Development Team to ensure the end quality of the User Experience.
  • Lead Product Design Processes

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Design related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong design portfolio.
  • At least 2 years of relevant design experience.
  • Heavy user of web2.0 and/or social networking applications such as myspace, facebook, flickr, Youtube, bebo, etc
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and passion for perfection.
  • Organized and methodical approach to workload.
  • Commitment to the user, ability to understand the user from a design perspective.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to be proactive on identifying problems and solutions
  • Experience with HTML and CSS a plus.

Job Description:

Webjam is looking for a Web Testing and Quality Assurance Lead. The position is critical to ensure a great online experience to users and the highest level of quality for a rapidly growing online service. We are looking for a proactive candidate experienced with online platforms and testing processes who is looking for a hands-on experience in a web2.0 start-up.

You are someone who is passionate about the web from a development perspective and would like to use the latest cutting edge technology. You are detail-focused and logical in your thinking. You should have web or online applications background and a strong understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. If you had experience with web testing systems, that would be a major advantage. You should also have some previous team lead experience with an eye towards a manager role in the future.

The role will report to the Chief Technology Officer and is based in central London.

This is a full time position.

Responsibilities include:

Your key responsibility will be taking full ownership of the QA within the company. You will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring testing is planned and performed to guarantee a satisfactory level of sign-off for all projects
  • Creating and maintaining automatic test scenarios, cases and scripts
  • Run the automatic test system and do hands-on ad-hoc testing to identify issues
  • Reporting and documenting issues in bug management software (i.e., Bugzilla)
  • Managing, planning, monitoring, and reviewing all QA procedures
  • Creating and maintaining test-plan documents for each project
  • Reporting on product quality levels and trends
  • Managing a team of 1-2 interns

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • A graduate with good academic background, preferably in computing, web design, information technology, or a relevant subject
  • 1-3 years experience in a senior QA testing role for a web-based product using both an automated testing system and ad-hoc testing
  • Knowledge of testing techniques and problem documentation
  • Knowledge of software development process
  • Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment with frequent code releases
  • Experience with Bugzilla or similar trouble-ticket management software
  • Heavy user of web2.0 and/or social networking applications such as myspace, facebook, flickr, Youtube, bebo, etc,
  • Excellent written communication skills – clear, concise, to-the-point

Job Description:

Webjam is looking for a versatile and highly creative visual designer to help us to develop the “look and feel” and identity of our platform.

Candidates must be familiar with flexible template systems, demonstrate a good understanding of web usability and have basic notions of CSS coding.

Webjam is aiming to deliver a high quality and personalised online experience to a very broad range of users. The visual designer has to be able to understand users, the needs of the Webjam platform and to be aware of the latest graphic design trends.

Familiarity with social media and blogging platforms will be very welcomed.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing creative, engaging, visual designs suitable for use on the web
  • Develop a consistent visual language to be applied across the interface elements
  • To grow and help develop a consistent brand identity to be applied across the corporate sites and online/offline marketing materials
  • To support the development of specific templates
  • Create visual styles
  • Timely production of designs in a efficient and organised manner

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • High level of attention to detail
  • An understanding of usability and information architecture
  • Excellent, proven knowledge of design using Photoshop and/or Illustrator (Portfolio required)
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
  • Mastery of visual design principles
  • Good communication skills & the ability to work well in a team
  • Experience on the design of interfaces will be extremely welcome (e.g. icons, buttons, forms, general user interface work)

 

Freelance work will be required for 2 or 3 days per week and will be based in Central London. This role may lead to a permanent position within Webjam.
